How to Use the 24-hour Hand
The 24-hour hand can be used in the following two ways.
• Check time at secondary location
• Differentiate AM and PM
Check time at secondary location
The rotating bezel can be used to determine the time at a secondary location at the same time as at the current location.
TIP
- In order to prevent accidental rotation due to shocks, the rotating bezel can only be rotated counterclockwise.
- When checking the number of hours for rotating the bezel, use the following formula.
• Number of hours to rotate the bezel = [Time difference at secondary location] - [Time difference at the current location]
If the calculated value is "-", add "24 H".
For example, this confirms the time at the secondary location for the following case.
Current location and time
- Tokyo: 8th, 10:10 a.m.
Secondary location city name
- Paris: (Check the time)
- Check the time difference from GMT at both Tokyo and Paris in the "List of major cities and time differences".

- Tokyo: +9 H
- Paris: +1 H
Use the formula to check the number of hours to rotate the bezel.
[(Paris time difference) +1 H] - [(Tokyo time difference) +9 H] = -8 H
(-8 H) + (24 H) = 16 H➡ Number of hours to rotate: Rotate counterclockwise 16 hours
Rotate the bezel in response to the results in 2.

- The number on the rotating bezel indicated by the 24-hour hand shows the current time in Paris.
- Time at secondary location/Paris: 8th, 2:10 a.m.
TIP
To change the secondary location to a different city and check the time again, return "0" on the rotating bezel to the top position and repeat from step 1.
Differentiate AM and PM
The time indicated by the hour and minute hands is shown in 24-hour format.
TIP
Check that the "0" on the rotating bezel is at the top position; if it is not, turn counterclockwise to return it to the top position.

• Hour and minute hands: 10:10
• 24-hour hand and minute hand: 10:10 (a.m.)

• Hour and minute hands: 10:10
• 24-hour hand and minute hand: 22:10 (p.m.)
