Precautions Regarding Quartz Watches

Ensure that you read this if you are using a quartz watch.

Watch Batteries and Charging

Primary Batteries

DANGER

Do not remove the battery from the watch.

If the battery is removed from the watch by mistake, do not leave it in a location within the reach of small children. With button batteries, there is a risk of accidental ingestion. If ingested, immediately seek medical advice.

WARNING

This is not a rechargeable battery. Do not recharge the battery.

There is a risk of the battery leaking, overheating, or bursting.

Do not leave the watch with a flat battery for a long period of time.

The battery may leak, and this may cause irritation to the skin. If the watch stops, have the battery replaced promptly.

Secondary Batteries

WARNING

Do not remove the secondary battery from the watch.

Replacement of secondary batteries requires specialized knowledge and skills. Please contact your dealer or our customer service center. There is a risk of bursting, overheating, or ignition if a regular silver oxide battery is mistakenly used.

CAUTION

In models with solar charging functionality, do not charge the watch under a heat source such as an incandescent bulb or spotlight, or on the dashboard of a car.

The watch body could become hot and cause a malfunction or failure.

In models with solar charging functionality, do not charge near a bright light source, such as LEDs.

This could cause the watch body and straps to discolor or fade.
