How to Use the Stopwatch

Overview

The stopwatch on this product can measure up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second units.

• The measured stopwatch time is indicated by the stopwatch 1/5-second hand in the center and the minute hand at 6 o'clock position.
• Offers split time measurements (measurement of time at midpoints/measurement of timings for two people).
• Automatically stops and resets when 60 minutes have elapsed.
  
  

• Use the stopwatch while the watch is adequately charged.
  The stopwatch is unavailable when the energy depletion warning function has activated (2-second interval movement).
• If 2-second interval movement starts during stopwatch operation, the stopwatch hands are reset to the 0 minute 0 second position.

TIP

• The stopwatch is operated by the S1 and S2 buttons.
• Start measurement when the stopwatch hands indicate 0 minutes and 0 seconds.
  Reset the stopwatch if the hands do not indicate 0 minutes and 0 seconds.

How to Use

Normal measurement

1. Start
   • 
   • Press S1.
     The stopwatch hands start to move. (Measurement)
2. Stop
   • 
   • Press S1 during measurement.
     The stopwatch hands stop and indicate the measured time.
3. Reset
   • 
   • Press S2 while the stopwatch is stopped.
     The stopwatch hands return to the 0 minute 0 second position.

Cumulative measurement

1. Start

   • 
   • Press S1.
     The stopwatch hands start to move. (Measurement)

2. Stop

   • 
   • Press S1 during measurement.
     The stopwatch hands stop and indicate the measured time.

3. Restart

   • 
   • Press S1 while the stopwatch is stopped.
     The stopwatch hands start to move again. (Restarted measurement)

4. Stop

   • 
   • Press S1 during the restarted measurement.
     The stopwatch hands stop and indicate the cumulative measured time.

5. Reset

   • 
   • Press S2 while the stopwatch is stopped.
     The stopwatch hands return to the 0 minute 0 second position.

TIP

Step 3 (restart) and step 4 (stop) can be repeated as many times as you want.

Split time measurement (measurement of time at midpoints)

1. Start

   • 
   • Press S1.
     The stopwatch hands start to move. (Measurement)

2. Split (find out the time at the midpoint)

   • 
   • Press S2 during measurement.
     The stopwatch hands stop and indicate the current elapsed time. (Split time display)
     The time measurement continues internally.

3. Cancel split (while started)

   • 
   • Press S2 again.
     The stopwatch hands fast-forward to the currently measured time and then start to move again. (Restarted measurement)

4. Stop

   • 
   • Press S1 during the restarted measurement.
     The stopwatch hands stop and indicate the measured time. (Split time display)

5. Reset

   • 
   • Press S2 while the stopwatch is stopped.
     The stopwatch hands return to the 0 minute 0 second position.

TIP

Step 2 (split) and step 3 (cancel split) can be repeated as many times as you want.

Measurement of timings for two people

1. Start

   • 
   • Press S1.
     The stopwatch hands start to move. (Measurement)

2. Split (when first person reaches goal)

   • 
   • Press S2 during measurement.
     The stopwatch hands stop and indicate the time for the first person.
     The time measurement continues internally. (Split measurement)

3. Split stop (when second person reaches goal)

   • 
   • Press S1 during split measurement.
     Internal time measurement stops.
     The stopwatch hands continue to indicate the time for the first person.

4. Cancel split stop (while stopped)

   • 
   • Press S2 while the stopwatch is in the split stop state.
     The stopwatch hands fast-forward and indicate the time for the second person.

5. Reset

   • 
   • Press S2 while the stopwatch is stopped.
     The stopwatch hands return to the 0 minute 0 second position.

How to Reset the Stopwatch

The stopwatch reset procedure differs according to the time measurement state. Press the S2 button while the stopwatch is stopped to reset it.

During measurement [stopwatch hands moving]

1. Press S1.　→ Stop
2. Press S2.　→ Reset

Stopped [stopwatch hands stopped]

1. Press S2.　→ Reset

During split time display (internal measurement) [stopwatch hands stopped]

1. Press S2.　→ Measurement starts again after the stopwatch hands fast-forward
2. Press S1.　→ Stop
3. Press S2.　→ Reset

During split time display (measurement stopped) [stopwatch hands stopped]

1. Press S2.　→ Stops after the stopwatch hands fast-forward
2. Press S2.　→ Reset

CAUTION

If the stopwatch hands do not return to the 0 minute 0 second position when the stopwatch is reset, reference position adjustment is required.
