Daily Care
To Ensure Long Usage
Proper care of the watch is important as it touches the skin directly and can easily accumulate sweat or dirt.
Failing to take care of the watch can lead to the following problems.
- Decreased performance of the watch
- Shortened life of the watch
- Rashes or other skin irritation
Tips to Achieve Comfortable and Long Usage

This improves airflow and is more hygienic. - Keep the watch clean by frequently wiping it with a soft cloth.
Methods of care for the watch will vary depending on the strap material and on the part of the watch (case or rotating bezel). Care for each part using the appropriate method.
Care of the Strap
Methods of caring for the strap differ depending on its material.

Leaving sweat or dirt on the strap...

Leather straps are more susceptible to moisture, sweat, and direct sunlight than metal straps, and over time will deteriorate due to wear, deformation, and discoloration.
Leaving dirt or moisture on the strap...
- This may cause discoloration or reduced durability of the strap.
- This may stain the cuff of sleeves.
Care methods
If moisture or sweat adheres to the strap...
Immediately blot up moisture with a soft cloth.

CAUTION
- Do not rub the leather forcefully. Doing so may result in the color fading.
- Leather is susceptible to water and sweat, so be careful of water droplets.
It is recommended that you remove the watch during work or tasks where the watch may get wet, even if the watch is water-resistant. - Avoid the following as much as possible, as these may lead to strap discoloration.
- Exposure of the strap to strong light such as from LED lamps, or ultraviolet light.
- Letting the strap come into contact with chemicals such as alcohol, or cosmetics.

While silicone straps may be more resistant to water than other materials, they are susceptible to severe temperature changes and to light, and will discolor or fade if exposed to sunlight for long periods of time.
Leaving dirt on the strap...
The staining will become worse, causing irritation or rashes on the skin.
Care methods
If moisture, sweat, or dust adheres to the strap...
Wash with fresh water, and wipe off moisture with a dry cloth.
If the strap comes into contact with seawater...

- Do not clean the watch using alcohol or other chemicals, or immerse it in chemicals.
Care of the Rotating Bezel
