Overhauls
To Ensure Long Usage
- All after-sales maintenance for ORIENT STAR, from repairs to parts replacement, is handled by craftsmen in the workshop.
Request regular checkups for your watch to ensure you can continue to use it for a long time.
Overhaul Procedure
- Overhaul preparations
- The case back is opened with a case opener.
- Disassembly
- After removing the crown and taking the movement out of the case, the hands and dial are removed to check the movement for accuracy.
- Accuracy inspection 1
- The degree of error in the movement is checked with a precision measuring device.
- Cleaning 1
- The movement parts are removed one by one and cleaned in an automatic cleaner.
- Cleaning 2
- Each individual part of the movement that is badly soiled or rusted is checked and carefully cleaned with a brush.
- Cleaning 3
- The hands and case are washed with a neutral detergent.
- Lubrication 1
- The cleaned parts are reassembled.
Great care is taken not to let dirt or dust get in.

- The drive parts are carefully lubricated during assembly.
As the amount of oil affects the accuracy, special equipment is used for this work.

- After the movement has been reassembled, the precision is checked with a precision measuring device while adjusting the regulator pins.
- Water resistance inspection
- The water resistance is checked using a water-resistance tester that applies constant air pressure.
However, authentic diving models are actually immersed in pressurized water to check that no water enters.

The cost of an overhaul is the same as the fee for an internal breakdown repair.
To order an overhaul, follow the same procedure as for a regular repair request, adding the note: "I want an overhaul."
