Water Resistance and Usage Conditions
Things to Avoid Even If the Watch Is Water-Resistant
Some watches are water resistant, and some are not. Regardless of the water resistance of the watch, ensure that you take the following precautions.
CAUTION
Do not place under running water directly from a faucet.
Mains water has a very high water pressure, and may cause failure of the water resistance even in watches with high water resistance.Always remove the watch when showering or bathing.
Using soap or shampoo while wearing the watch will accelerate deterioration of gaskets, thus reducing its water resistance.Do not wear the watch in hot springs or saunas.
The minerals and heat will accelerate deterioration of gaskets, thus reducing its water resistance.Do not operate the crown or buttons in water, or with wet hands.
Moisture may enter the watch.
Checking the Type of Water Resistance
Some watches are water resistant, and some are not. Watches with water resistance are used in different ways depending on the type. Check the water resistance of your watch as follows.

The water resistance is indicated on the back cover of the watch. On some watches, it is indicated on the dial.
