Handling of the Strap

Strap Length Adjustment

To adjust the strap length, contact our service network. (opens new window)
Adjustment of metal straps in particular requires specialized skills.

CAUTION

The strap includes small components, and these may get lost, or cause injuries to fingers or hands.

Some straps can be adjusted by yourself.

Strap Replacement

To replace the strap, contact our service network. (opens new window)

CAUTION

• Attempting to attach or replace a strap yourself may result in injury.
• There is the risk that the strap could come off with minimal force, which could cause the watch body to fall off.

The following the strap can be replaced by yourself.​

A	Spring bar
B	Lever

Press down on the lever on the spring bar with your finger to remove the strap.

While holding down the lever on the spring bar with your finger, attach the strap to the watch.

CAUTION

If you are attaching a strap from another company, please consult with our service network (opens new window) for safety reasons.

How to Attach and Detach the Strap

The attachment and detachment method differs depending on the strap you purchased.

Please refer to the video below for how to put on and take off straps with buckles or clasps.

D-Buckle

There are two types of D-buckles, regular and special.

Step

1. Adjusting the length of the strap

1-1. Raise the buckle (metal fitting) and pull out the pin from the hole.

CAUTION

Be careful not to injure nails with the buckle (metal fittings).

1-2. Slide the buckle (metal fitting) to the desired hole.

1-3. Insert the pin into the hole while closing the buckle (metal fitting).

CAUTION

Please make sure that the buckle (metal fittings) is firmly fixed.

2. Putting on the strap (the watch)

2-1. After passing the strap through the free ring, pinch the buckle (metal fitting) with two fingers to close it.

3. Take off the strap

3-1. Press the buttons on both sides.

Step

1. Adjusting the length of the strap

1-1. Open the buckle (metal fitting) and pull out the pin from the hole.

CAUTION

Be careful not to injure nails with the buckle (metal fittings).

1-2. Slide the buckle (metal fitting) to the desired hole.

1-3. Push the pin into the hole while closing the buckle (metal fitting).

CAUTION

Please make sure that the buckle (metal fittings) is firmly fixed.

2. Putting on the strap (the watch)

2-1. Close the buckle (metal fitting) on the side with the free ring.

2-2. Align the other buckle (metal fittings) with buckle of 2-1.

2-3. Close the buckle by pinching it between two fingers until it clicks.

2-4. Pass the band through the free ring so that the buckle (metal fitting) does not come off due to the tip of the strap getting caught on clothes etc.

3. Take off the strap

3-1. Press the buttons on both sides.

Clasp with Extension Structure

Mainly used for diver's watches, the length can be easily adjusted when wearing the watch over a wet suit.

Step

1. Take off the bracelet

1-1. Raise the safety cover [A] .

1-2. Press the bush button [B], and open the top cover [C].

2. Make the bracelet longer

2-1. Lower the safety cover［A］,and open the extender [D].

2-2. Release the hook [E], and lengthen the band.

3. Attach the bracelet

3-1. Raise the safety cover [A], and close the top cover [C].

3-2. Close the safety cover [A].

Step

1. Take off the bracelet

1-1. Raise the safety cover [A], and open the top cover [C].

2. Shorten the bracelet (return to normal)

2-1. Lower the safety cover [A].

2-2. Hang the hook [E] on the safety bar [A] and, close by pinching between two fingers .

*See how the hook hooks into the safety cover from another angle.

3. Attach the bracelet

3-1. Raise the safety cover [A].

3-2. Close the top cover [C], and the safety cover [A] in this order.
